DREAMS 006: Working Out Your Dreams In Real Life.

Image
I agree with you. Most of the time, you and I have legitimate reasons to postpone our action plan. We usually know what to do, but we don't know when to stand strong and say, "I will do it now, come what may. Let the skies fall." We may have to save up, sacrifice our time and ego, walk up to people, or even read. However, the truth is, we often have "reasonable reason" to not act now. I believe I should mention again that the universe and all its activities will not pause just to allow you make a rational and profitable decision. In most cases, it is in the midst of the flying time, daily distractions, and present occupations that we get to make many of our life changing decisions. It is truly fearful to think that the SHIFT our life desires to experience is at the MERCY of the critical decisions we are yet to make. A decision to do what you believe is hard, stressful, overly sacrificial or even stupid. I was talking to a young man one day when I made

DREAMS 005: The Transition From Dream To True Success.

Success is Deliberate. There's no argument about this. Failure may not be deliberate, but a person never fails without their own consent. I believe it is important for us to keep hearing these facts. Hopefully, they would push us to do more each day and eventually build the life we have always dreamed of. I personally don't believe that any living person has failed, because to me, if you're alive right now, you can still try again and this time even better than before. Hence, If you can try "it" again, then you have not yet failed at it. You may only have made a mistake or failed at that attempt, but never really at what you want to achieve. Only a person who died with his dreams unborn has failed at accomplishing their dream. I'm glad to break the good news to you: if you're not dead, your dreams are not dead yet! First, you must agree that your dream is yours to chase. Dreams will eternally be dreams, and they won't change just because of you

DREAMS 004: The Easiest Way To Make Progress At Anything In Life.

Today, I'm just going to be talking about making your dreams happen. How did I make this blog happen? How did I get a job at the radio station? How can I apply the same principles into any other dream I have? Let's talk about making our dreams happen in real life. To start with, kill procrastination with an action. To bring your dreams to pass, you need these basic ingredients: a firm decision, a complementary action, and a tough heart. So, it all starts with a decision. This is the second blog I am creating, the first was in 2013. No matter how big your dream is, admit it to yourself that there are little things you have the capacity to do that will keep you in a progressive journey towards your desired end. Once you admit this, you allow your mind to better recognize the opportunities you have access to. I had mentioned that I had challenges with publishing even though I was a passionate writer. I lost motivation whenever I thought that my passion was not lucrative en

DREAMS 4: Why You Have To Run As Fast As You Can In Life.

"Relay-race" is to me, one of the most interesting sporting games. One moment, you have the baton, another moment, you're done having it -it's no longer yours to hold on to. Relay race is very similar to our human lives in the way the latter evolves from one generation of people to another. In relay, what you do when you have the baton matters a lot, since that is your own contribution to the whole game. The only time you have the power to actually influence the game is when you still have the baton. No one holds on to the baton for the whole time. We as dreamers really need to awaken from our slumber, lest, we'll never make it in reality. I always say this: We all are dreamers; some sleep for a lifetime; some eventually wake up and work on their dreams . Just like in a relay race, you already have the baton which in this case is your life and dreams. Don't just sit or sleep with the baton right there on the field of life. Wake up, get up and run as f

DREAMS 003: The Strength & Powerlessness Of Dreams.

Image
Imagine for instance that your whole life we're a candle that will burn for a hundred years. Whether or not you use this light to achieve anything, it keeps burning without the slightest hesitation, without an apology. It never waits for any person to do what is right or best for them. It just burns. So, a man can yet suffer in darkness when there's a torch in his hands. It is your choice to use this light that renders the light useful or useless for you. Otherwise, a torch is merely a torch and nothing more. In the same sense, dreams are in themselves entirely abstract and completely boneless to move anything in reality. This is where their powerlessness lies. Dreams are valid but can be vain, too. Our actions are the only means of giving strength and adding credibility to our dreams. I was very young when I started dreaming of becoming an author and an ENCOURAGER. After many years of procrastination, I challenged myself to commit to writing my first book. After a

Responding Rightly To Your Dream.

In July 2019, I had this great story-line for one of the short stories in my recent work. The excitement that so engulfed me was like a heavy rain-pour. This was because I thought I had an incredibly awesome story in mind. However, it is disappointing that as intense as the enthusiasm was, this is 2020, and I have still not written down the story. This is not to say that dreams or ideas are not valid. Instead, it emphasizes that dreams can be as useless and fruitless as a mere thought that comes once and forever goes away with the wind...without any remembrance at all. Someone else might have been wishing to be an artist, but all they do is enjoy the jolly feeling that comes with their ideas. If you have not realized yet, I bring it to your consciousness that "the initial feeling of excitement that comes with having a dream can be utterly meaningless if it doesn't lead the dreamer to take any complementary action". As a result of this, I constantly remind myse

What Does It Mean To Have A Dream?

I think it's expedient we realize the actual worth and essence of dreams. When Jerry was ten, it became the fifth year he had been wishing to ride an aircraft - a plane. After waking up one morning, he rushed out to his father and said, "Dad! Dad! I rode an aeroplane last night." His father laughed shortly knowing that it was only a dream, but he didn't discourage him.       Jerry is now 32 years old, and he has never even been to an airport. Jerry now sells books in a book store down the same street he used to run across many years ago with a kite in his hand. I write this anecdote to highlight one thing which is that, although dreams are valid, they are really just DREAMS, and they can even remain as that forever. This is because life doesn't give you what you wish for or what you dream of; it gives you what you work for or what it has for you.       Unfortunately, at every point in time, life always has something to occupy you with, other than what you
