VIRTUE SERIES: HAPPINESS

Image
Your happiness is one thing that life will always try to take from you. NEVER FORGET that it belongs to you and that you deserve it. NEVER SURRENDER IT to life situations, because the moment you do, you give life the chance to drag you through its gutters. Happiness might be less prevalent these days, but this does not mean that it is hard to find. Truly, a joy that would last is not built on material things, life circumstances, or other revocable/perishable things. Lasting Joy is built on a personal decision to be at peace with one's self at all times, and no matter what. It is anchored on this rigid decision. Happiness is supposed to be a decision and not a reaction to external factors. I would say at this point that we should conceive for ourselves a healthy definition of happiness. Delight can come in many different shades. It could be as a result of a long-awaited opportunity or a fulfilled desire. Moreover, happiness being a state of mind, should be founded on a more solid

VIRTUE SERIES: POSITIVITY

Positivity is one of the rarest virtues we can find these days. As humans, living our simple lives, we often complicate things by acting wrongly in some situations. This is why we may have great plans and aspirations, yet we struggle to implement them because our minds count it a danger to start anything unless there are high and significant chances of success -sometimes this means 100%. A hundred percent chance of success is hard to ascertain at the start of anything. No one certainly knows how anything will turn out until it does. Hence, our minds may hinder us from progressing if the stakes are low on s

VIRTUE SERIES: PATIENCE

An old saying claims that " the patient dog gets the fattest bone ", but sadly, today, I'm not sure that the patient dog gets any bone at all. The same is applicable to humans. A farmer who waits patiently for the rain to water his seeds would not prosper as much as one who finds a means of irrigation when the rain delays. You don't harvest the same day you plant; you don't plant and then sleep until the day of the harvest either. Hence, 'Patience' is not a state of inaction, instead, it is the right thing to do after you have done all that is needful. Patience is a valid requirement for prosperity. This is because, most certainly, life has patterns and processes that cannot be totally ignored or despised. Growth is a process by which small things become big. Patience is necessary since change does not happen by accident, especially when it's a good one. However, the point is not that patience fails. Rather, the point is that there are two main ty
