What Does It Mean To Have A Dream?

I think it's expedient we realize the actual worth and essence of dreams. When Jerry was ten, it became the fifth year he had been wishing to ride an aircraft - a plane. After waking up one morning, he rushed out to his father and said, "Dad! Dad! I rode an aeroplane last night." His father laughed shortly knowing that it was only a dream, but he didn't discourage him.
Jerry is now 32 years old, and he has never even been to an airport. Jerry now sells books in a book store down the same street he used to run across many years ago with a kite in his hand.

I write this anecdote to highlight one thing which is that, although dreams are valid, they are really just DREAMS, and they can even remain as that forever. This is because life doesn't give you what you wish for or what you dream of; it gives you what you work for or what it has for you.
Unfortunately, at every point in time, life always has something to occupy you with, other than what you would want for yourself. You can idle away, sleep off, lazy about, pursue the wrongest things, lounge in procrastination or even wallow in fear and worry. Still, life goes on whether or not you pursue the things that truly matter to you -your DREAMS.

Your dreams will never amount to anything if you keep doing nothing about it. It cannot materialize all by itself, because without the human will and actions, DREAMS are mere figments of our imaginations, and can only be nothing but DREAMS.

Never allow the things that don't matter distract you from focusing on the things that matter to you the most.
