LITERATURE ANALYSIS: Waiting Upon Dawn

WAITING UPON THE DAWN:
'You know what I remember?
I shall tell it like a tale of time!
Those were days like yesterday:
I shut my eyes in the dark,
I open to see the dark outside;
Then I begin to count the stars
-hoping I should fall asleep awhile
But no I spent my night counting
Until the clouds clear up once more.
This is how I wait upon the dawn
Of a new life every night like before.
I count the stars I find in my old life
Until the sky clears and I'm afraid.
For over a month now, I haven't posted anything. I know it's not good. Success as an end is usually attained with consistency. It does not matter if you do a bit today and another bit tomorrow. The truth is that these bits eventually add up into a big achievement in the end.

Almost every person can relate to what I'll call the 'Brief Passion Syndrome'. When we have a dream or a goal that is burning in our hearts, we channel the energy like a rush of wind in the first instant. A writer could write thousands of words in a day, and yet not complete the book in the end.

So, it's almost not about the beginning, because we all are well acquainted with beginning tasks that we do not eventually complete. The Joy is in the End. Don't be overwhelmed with the Excitement of a promising Beginning much more than the raw Doggedness to reach a valid Ending.

I'm saying this because I am equally familiar with starting a lot of things that I have not yet completed. Experience is the best teacher as it is widely said. However, when we become blind to our own recurrent experiences and still get ignorant of the lessons in the vast experiences of other people around us, we would have to embrace the results of our lives in the end whether positive or painful.
Now, back to the poetry! I might dive into poetry analysis for this period. You could send your poems too for public analysis. We want to enjoy the delight of art in words and the lessons at our fingertips. I opened my OneNote pad and saw this 11 months old poem I left unfinished.

I was expecting a sunrise in my life when things were quite gloomy for me. Still, I learned to count the stars that were glimmering in my so-to-say dark life. When we go through challenges, let's not just drown in the dark; this is the best time to reflect on the tiny lights that still shine in us.
