Society and Human Rights: Our Contribution To Our Future.
"As humans, we don't always know how things will turn
out for us, or how life will unfold from time to time, therefore, we must do
our very best so that we do not contribute in any way to our failures in
life."
-SOLA Soyele
🏵If we would succeed, we have to agree that there is
an apparent link between our actions today and our realities tomorrow. We have
to understand that our decisions and actions yesterday surely had inevitable
consequences on our lives today, and this chain of causation is most likely to
repeat itself.
🏵The truth may be easier said, it might be utterly
difficult to act on, it could even be contrary to the desires of our human
lives, yet, its effect will never diminish or lose its power. The real problem
does not come with knowing the truth; it comes with acting in the light of the
truth.
🏵Our actions today affect our lives tomorrow.
Therefore, no matter how discouraged, or pessimistic anyone could be about
their future, they must not regress into a self-defeating state where they get
complacent enough to allow life decide their future.
🏵Truth is, when we fail to act out our good plans in
alignment with what we want for ourselves, we give life a 100% exclusive right
to decide what tomorrow will be for us. And, as we know, life is not fair
enough to grant any person their desires unless they earn it. Even hard-working
people face challenges, not to mention an indifferent individual.
🏵For those who believe in God, we must know that
even still, we must have a part to play in our success. God does not profit an
idle hand, he does not establish a lazy man, he does not bless nothing, but
something. What is the guarantee that when a lazy man is established, he will
bring forth any return? What is the assurance that a pessimist will ever be
positive with the blessings he has received. (Consider the parable of the
talent)
🏵A man that will prosper will not despise the days
when all he can have is faith and hope to call forth the things that are yet to
be. A man that will command wealth well will know how to gather pennies and
purchase pounds from them. The person who will maximise a big opportunity is
one who has already learnt the act of maximising small opportunities.
🏵This is a call to remind us that whatever step we
take today will count on how far we will go tomorrow. Do not let doubts, fears
and the realities of this day hinder you from taking all the significant steps
that can and will affect the realities of the tomorrow that awaits us all.
Tomorrow will come, but when it surely comes, would we have contributed to our
success or would we be guilty of having a hand in our failures?
