Short Story Series: A Letter To Alice 001.

On the demand of a reader, I'm posting 'An epistolary short story titled: A Letter To Alice'. It exemplifies the essence of 'confession' in a companionship. How would you feel to get such a mail as this? Share your views in the comment section, please.

A Letter to Alice

Dear Alice,
How are you my cutie teddy princess? I've missed you so much. I feel like I last saw you about ten years ago. I miss your adorable smile; I miss your angelic chuckles - the way you laugh when you pull my legs and I stupidly take you so seriously. Babe, I know I'm freaking bad at comprehending jokes. My bad!
I wish you were here last week when I was trapped in terrible traffic. You know how badly I loathe congestion and crowds. Plus, I forgot my headphones in mom's car. These days I forget everything in a jiffy.
Here in Ibadan, the air is tense, the days are scorching and the nights are hot. I'm just hating everything. When you're not around, everything looks stale and lifeless, even the markets and streets. Now I believe the saying that: love is blind, but this time, it blinds me against the world. If you aren't in sight, nothing is worth seeing.
Well people say that the sun still shines, but I don't notice - boring joke, right? Em... So, guess where I am now? I'm in a church. I decided to take a walk down the street to explore the environment. Then I found this beautiful sanctuary. They're currently having a mime rehearsal before the altar, and I'm trying to get along, though I can't really help getting engrossed in this writing. I walked in, and I'm sitting on the extreme of a pew by the entrance.
So, I'm sending you this email to let you know that you are always in my heart. I hope that soonest you'd come around. Or maybe I could come over too. I mean, Ife cannot be a terrible place!
So, tell me, my adorable dearie friend, how has life been for you over there? Anyway, I can tell that your life has been miserable. I'm sure, I'm not apologetic, and I don't have to be nice all the time. I'm really sad for you. It's pathetic. How could you possibly survive without me around you? How can you be away from me? I'm somewhat bitter, I wish we could be together again. Life's not fair. I miss you like the grasses in summer miss the rain. I don't deserve this pain. We don't always get what we deserve in life, do we? I know you are sorry for me. Thanks, my love.
Oh, how I miss the suiting assurance in your voice. There's no one to tell me I'm awesome, that they love me like crazy, that they are freaking delighted to know and have me around, that they'd be absolutely terrified to lose me. You know how desperately I could want to hear these sincere words, especially when my bad mood is drowning all the lights in my heart. Please, tell me again and again, write it on the clouds at night, tell it to the winds, just announce it where I can find it.
I've been skipping my doses these days. You are what I want right now. I'm sad for you. It's so sad, that I miss you. I will always love you, my dear Alice. No friend has replaced you yet. Well, I hope I find an alternative friend that deserves my crazy obsession like you. I will always love you, Alice.

Your only friend in the whole world,
Timi.
